Islamabad, June 26, 2025: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced a limited time offer to simplify and discount the CNIC renewal process for citizens with expired or lost chipless Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).
This initiative aims to encourage the public to upgrade to secure, digitally enhanced CNICs, now featuring QR codes and bilingual information in Urdu and English—fully compatible with official documents like passports and bank accounts.
Discounted CNIC Renewal Fee Structure
NADRA has revised the CNIC service charges to make the upgrade process more affordable:
- Normal Service – Rs 400 | Delivery in 15 working days
- Urgent Service – Rs 1,150 | Delivery in 12 working days
- Executive Service – Rs 2,150 | Delivery in 6 working days
The reduced CNIC delivery time, especially for the normal category, has been halved from 30 to 15 days, ensuring faster access to identity documents.

Citizens can initiate the chipless CNIC upgrade by visiting any NADRA Registration Centre (NRC) or applying online through the Pak Identity portal to receive the CNIC at home.
