Islamabad, Mar 1: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has taken a significant step to enhance public convenience by setting up dedicated service counters at various post offices across Punjab. This initiative aims to streamline the process of obtaining national identity cards, ensuring citizens receive quicker and more efficient services.
Under the directives of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, NADRA’s Lahore Regional Director General has introduced these specialized counters at eleven key post offices in Lahore and other major districts. These centers, established in collaboration with the Pakistan Post Department’s Punjab Region, are now operational at locations including Lahore Cantt, GPO, Manga Mandi, Shershah Colony, Shahdara, Qila Sheikhupura, Kasur, Narowal, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Okara.
With these newly launched counters, citizens can now easily renew or replace their identity cards without the hassle of enduring long queues at conventional NADRA centers. This move is expected to significantly reduce wait times and enhance service efficiency, making essential identity-related tasks more accessible to the public.
