The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has distributed 500 ration packs to the flood-affected people of Sialkot and Narowal each with 46 kilograms of essentials in 22 categories. These relief supplies are distributed under local district governments to respond to families hit by this recent flooding.

In response to a request by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab, eight trucks with essential rations were sent to both districts as the part of the continuous relief measures guided by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The ration packs will address the urgent needs of the affected households, whereby necessary food and daily needs of a household are provided to the households as soon as possible.

On its part, the NDMA has also notified that it will distribute 4,200 relief packages in other flood-affected regions of Punjab. Future distributions will involve 500 packs (Wazirabad and Hafizabad), 1200 packs (Jhang) and 1000 packs (Chiniot) and would be organized in collaboration with the provincial authorities to deliver timely.
