The Pakistan Administrative Service’s Muhammad Sheheryar Sultan, a Grade-21 officer, has been named the new chairman of the National Highway Authority by the federal government, replacing the outgoing chairman.
In accordance with section 9 of the National Highway Authority Act 1991 (as amended in 2001), his appointment is contingent upon approval by the National Highway Council.Separate announcements from the Establishment Division state that Sultan was relocated from the Finance Ministry and appointed head of the road authority, and that Arshad Majeed Mohmand was removed from his role as chairman of the NHA and instructed to report to the Establishment Division.
