Islamabad, June 25, 2025: Dominique Thorne steps back into the role of Riri Williams in Ironheart, Marvel’s eagerly awaited TV series unfolding after Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The six-part series blends the raw energy of Chicago with inventive tech, as Riri constructs a superhero suit not in a sleek lab, but in a humble garage.
The first three episodes were released on June 24, 2025 on Disney+, while the rest three will premiered on July 1 , 2025.
The story picks up with Riri returning to Chicago following her time in Wakanda. Still processing everything that happened, she finds herself questioning her next steps: how to use her extraordinary mind and what type of hero she wants to evolve into.
“It became obvious early on that she was her own person, following her own path,” said Black Panther filmmaker Ryan Coogler, who also serves as executive producer. “Unlike Captain America or Black Panther, there’s no title being handed down.”

In Thorne’s own words, Riri is no longer just the girl who aided in Wakanda’s rescue; Ironheart focuses on “who she is on a regular Tuesday,” she shared with Emmy Magazine. That includes managing past relationships, unfamiliar foes, and the ongoing struggle of making her mark in a world that often undervalues her.
Coogler describes Ironheart as a blend of Daredevil and WandaVision, adding, “It’s wild—you’ve got people trying to survive with limited resources, mixed with cosmic-level Marvel elements.”
