The School Timing schedule in Chakwal and Talagang has been revised by the District Education Authority, effective from April 1, 2025, to October 15, 2025. According to the official notification, the updated hours will apply across all public schools, ensuring a more structured academic routine for both students and teachers.
The schools of girls will be open on the following hours, including 7:15 AM to 12:45 PM ( Monday- Thursday ) and 7:15 AM to 11:15 AM ( Saturday ). The schools of boys will be on the following hours, that is, 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM ( Monday- Thursday ) and 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM ( Saturday ). Afternoon classes in the institutions on the double shift will take place between 11:45 AM and 3:45 PM (girls) and 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM (boys) with reduced hours on Fridays.
Educators are instructed to report earlier, and stay around after the dismissal of students. Their working hours have been set at 7:15 AM to 1:30 PM on a Monday to Thursday and 7:15 AM to 11:45 AM on Fridays. The teachers of a double-shift school will also have classes in the afternoon up to 4:30 PM. This will be a long period to be used in planning lessons, training and co-curricular development.

All officers and school heads are directed to behave in line with the instructions of the CEO of District Education Authority Chakwal/Talagang, which has categorically directed them to comply. The revised School Timing schedule is in a bid to enhance discipline, excellence in learning and to conformity with the summer schedule of Punjab.
