Batting first, New Zealand posted a formidable score of 362 runs, powered by outstanding performances from Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra.
The former captain played a superb knock, scoring 102 off 101 balls with 13 boundaries and a six. Ravindra matched the brilliance with 108 off 94 deliveries, striking 10 boundaries and two sixes.
In response, South Africa showed resistance through Temba Bavuma, Rassie van der Dussen, and David Miller, who registered two half-centuries and a brilliant century.
Bavuma scored 56 off 71 balls, while Van der Dussen contributed 69 off 66 deliveries. Miller fought hard, scoring a brilliant knock of 100* off 67 balls.
The power-hitter played a memorable innings, building crucial partnerships with the tailenders to take his team to 312 for nine before their 50-over quota was completed.
New Zealand’s bowling attack ensured South Africa fell short, with Mitchell Santner claiming three wickets, while Matt Henry and Glenn Phillips picked up two each.
With this victory, New Zealand set up a thrilling final clash against unbeaten India at the Dubai International Stadium on March 9.
