Islamabad, June 9, 2025: As the Eid holidays come to an end, the National Highways & Motorway Police has issued an important travel advisory to ensure safe and comfortable journeys on motorways and highways, where traffic flow is expected to increase significantly.
Travelers are advised to take necessary precautions such as checking their vehicle’s engine oil, water levels, tire pressure, and brakes before starting their journey. During driving, using seat belts, adhering to speed limits, maintaining a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, and staying within lanes are essential for safety.
Drivers undertaking long trips should be fully rested before driving and take breaks every two to two and a half hours to avoid fatigue. Driving while sleepy or drowsy is strictly discouraged.
Passengers traveling in overloaded vehicles or facing overcharging issues are encouraged to report these violations to the Motorway Police helpline at 130.
