Islamabad, Nov 12: Noman Ali Wins ICC Men Player of the Month Award for October 2024
Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been awarded the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for October 2024.
The 38-year-old played a key role in Pakistan’s victory over England in the three-match Test series held in Multan and Rawalpindi. Noman took an outstanding 20 wickets at an average of 13.85 in the second and third Tests.
Noman, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, and New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner were nominated for the October award.
“I’m honored to be named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month and grateful to my teammates for their support in helping Pakistan win a historic home Test series against England,” Noman shared.
In the second Test, Noman produced his best Test figures with 8/46, leading Pakistan to a first home Test win since 2021.
He continued his strong performance in the third Test, contributing 45 runs with the bat to help Pakistan gain a 77-run lead.
Pakistan won the final Test by nine wickets, with Noman claiming six wickets to bowl out England for just 112.
