Islamabad, Nov 21: In a significant move for Hajj pilgrims, passports will now be issued within 24 hours in 2025. Mustafa Jamal Qazi, Director General of Passports, announced that special counters for Hajj applicants will be set up at regional passport offices and headquarters worldwide, streamlining the process for both local and international pilgrims.
“We are ensuring priority processing for Hajj applications, with passports delivered within 24 hours,” said Qazi, highlighting the initiative’s efficiency and accessibility during the busy Hajj season.
Government Hajj Scheme 2025: Packages and Costs
The Ministry of Religious Affairs unveiled an installment payment plan for the government-run Hajj scheme.
- Packages Offered:
- Standard Package: 38-42 days.
- Short Package: 20-25 days.
- Cost Range: Rs1,075,000 to Rs1,175,000.
- Additional Costs:
- Sacrificial Animal: Rs55,000.
- Double-bed Room (Makkah): Rs220,000.
- Triple-bed Room (Makkah): Rs75,000.
- Payment Plan:
- First Installment: Rs200,000 due with the Hajj application.
This initiative aims to simplify the travel preparations and reduce delays for thousands of pilgrims during the holy season.
