Under the leadership of Director General Mustafa Jamal Qazi, the department successfully cleared a massive backlog of 1.6 million passport applications.
Previously, long queues, manual payments, and repeated visits to passport offices frustrated thousands of applicants.
However, the new system now allows users to submit passport fees online via the official DGIP website or mobile app.
Once the passport is processed, it is delivered directly to the applicant’s home, saving time and reducing hassle.
