Islamabad, May 19, 2025: In a groundbreaking move to promote gender diversity in STEM, the National Grid Company (NGC), formerly NTDC, has unveiled its fully paid Grid Girls Internship Program 2025.
This progressive initiative, launched in partnership with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), aims to empower female engineering students across Pakistan by giving them practical exposure to real-world projects.
Empowering Women in Engineering Through Hands-On Experience
Targeting women in Electrical, Electronics, and Civil Engineering, the Grid Girls Internship 2025 offers a rare chance to work directly on national infrastructure projects.
From mentorship to professional development, the program is tailored to equip future female engineers with the tools and confidence to thrive in Pakistan’s male-dominated energy sector.
Key Features of the Internship
Interns selected for the program will benefit from:

- A monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000
Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to:
- Female students enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s, or DAE programs in relevant engineering fields
- Recent graduates
- Candidates with prior internships or research experience
- Individuals available for full-time participation
Internship Structure: Two Cohorts, One Mission
Cohort 1 (2 months):
For 3rd-year undergraduates (5th/6th semester) and 1st/2nd semester Master’s students. It focuses on direct project involvement.
Cohort 2 (1 month):
For students from 2nd semester onwards, including TVET learners. This phase emphasizes learning and exploration.
