Islamabad, Oct 24: OGDC Commences Gas Production at Exploratory Well in Sanghar District, Sindh. The exploratory well Baloch-2 in the Sembar formation (Sinjhoro block) in District Sanghar, Sindh, has begun producing oil, according to a statement released by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (PSX: OGDC).
When it came to defining, drilling, and testing the framework, the company’s internal knowledge was crucial. The well, which was drilled to a depth of 3,920 meters, is currently producing 5 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD) and 350 barrels of oil per day (BPD).
Gas is pumped into the SSGCL network, and the production is linked to the Sinjhoro Processing Plant. This business is a joint venture between GHPL (5 percent), Orient Petroleum Inc. (19 percent), and OGDC (76 percent working interest). The well is situated in Sindh province’s Sanghar district.
The goal of OGDC is to expedite exploration, drilling, and production in order to improve national energy security and support Pakistan’s sustainable growth.
