The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in LPG prices, making the fuel Rs. 6.71 per kilogram cheaper.

As a result, an 11.8-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder will now cost Rs. 79.14 less. According to the official notification, the new price of LPG has been set at Rs. 207.49 per kilogram, bringing the total cost of an 11.8-kilogram cylinder to Rs. 2,448.33.

The revised LPG prices will come into effect from October 1.

LPG pricing in Pakistan is tied to the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) and the US dollar exchange rate.

As compared to the previous month, Saudi Aramco-CP saw a 3.78 percent decline, while the average dollar exchange rate increased by 0.23 percent. These factors combined led to a Rs. 79.14 reduction in the consumer price of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder, and a per kg decrease of Rs. 6.71.
