Islamabad, May 27, 2025: In a major decision to promote digital governance and streamline regulatory processes, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has officially introduced a digital licensing system for the country’s petroleum and gas sectors.

This state-of-the-art platform, launched in partnership with the National IT Board (NITB), enables complete online management of licenses across various segments, ranging from Gas, LNG, and CNG to LPG, oil marketing, and refining.

The digital initiative is aimed at making license issuance and renewal quicker, more transparent, and less burdensome for businesses operating in the midstream and downstream energy markets. By shifting the process online, OGRA seeks to boost ease of doing business and increase regulatory transparency.

For new applications or license renewals, users can access the system through OGRA’s official E-Licensing portal.
