The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers meeting commenced in Jeddah on Monday with a strong collective demand for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and unrestricted access to humanitarian aid. Pakistan was represented by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, in his opening remarks, underscored the urgent need to halt Israeli aggression and firmly rejected the so-called “Greater Israel” project. He declared the establishment of Jewish settlements in the West Bank unacceptable and reiterated that the only viable solution lies in the creation of an independent Palestinian state.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister strongly condemned Israel’s continued attacks in Gaza, describing the occupation plan as unacceptable and the forced famine imposed on Palestinians as a “crime against humanity.” He reaffirmed Ankara’s unwavering support for Palestinian rights and called for serious efforts toward a two-state solution.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s principled position on Palestine, demanding Israel’s complete withdrawal from all occupied territories. He also rejected any plans aimed at enforcing total military control over Gaza or displacing its residents.
