The one-day motorcycle licensing service will continue across Punjab, according to DIG Traffic Muhammad Waqas Nazir. Under this facility, applicants can now obtain both learner and permanent motorcycle licenses on the same day.
Officials revealed that over the past year, more than 2.96 million driving licenses were issued in the province. Among them, over 14,000 were issued to women, while more than 100 licenses were granted to transgender citizens. Authorities described this as the first initiative of its kind at such a large scale in Pakistan.
