Islamabad, July 20, 2025: A heartbreaking accident has plunged Orangi Town into mourning, as six young residents lost their lives in a bus crash early Tuesday morning while returning from a picnic at Keenjhar Lake.
The victims, all close friends and residents of the 12 Number area of Orangi Town, had left for the lakeside gathering around 2:00 am. The tragic accident took place between 5:00 and 5:30 am, cutting short what was supposed to be a joyful outing.
Among the deceased is 27-year-old Muhammad Asad, remembered by neighbors as a kind-hearted and responsible youth. According to family members, the ill-fated vehicle was carrying approximately 40 to 45 passengers, mostly friends from the same locality.
Eyewitnesses and relatives report that the accident site turned chaotic as news broke of the fatalities. Nearly 20 others sustained injuries, several of whom remain in critical condition at nearby hospitals.
The bodies were later shifted back to Orangi Town, where sorrow engulfed the community. Scenes of crying mothers, wailing fathers, and grieving neighbors echoed through the narrow streets.

Officials are yet to confirm the cause of the crash. However, local sources speculate that driver fatigue or speeding may have contributed to the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation and further updates are expected soon.
