Islamabad, Oct 30: Overseas Pakistani Faisal Sami Honored with 2024 UK Volunteer of the Year Award. In honor of his committed humanitarian work in the UK and abroad, Overseas Pakistani Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami, UK Head of the Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF), also known as Dawat-e-Islami, has been named the “UK Volunteer of the Year 2024.”

He works on global disaster assistance, drug prevention, health services, and food distribution.
He received the award from Charity Today in recognition of his outstanding work helping underprivileged communities both in the UK and abroad.

The Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) is renowned for its commitment to humanitarian work, meeting local and international relief needs. Its projects range widely and include health services, food distribution, education, and disaster relief.

Through its outreach initiatives and humanitarian projects, FGRF seeks to promote social welfare, reduce poverty, and empower communities. FGRF UK has achieved great progress in tackling urgent social concerns under the direction of Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami. Syed has played a key role in spearheading initiatives that give people in need vital support.Syed has gone above and above to help people in the UK.

He organized food parcels and helped distribute thousands of them to people in need during COVID-19. In order to combat holiday hunger and make sure that “no child goes hungry in the holidays,” Syed also oversaw a committed group of FGRF volunteers.

The team has effectively fed and supported families during school breaks under his direction. In order to enable local communities to tackle drug-related issues, he has established preventive seminars and worked with West Midlands Police to conduct drug awareness programs. By putting prevention techniques into practice and increasing community awareness, Syed has also tackled concerns related to county limits.

Syed has set up free health check camps that provide participants with blood pressure and BMI evaluations in an effort to better promote public health. By reducing wait times and lines for essential health tests, this project relieves the strain on NHS services. Additionally, in an attempt to address the global warming catastrophe, Syed has started tree-planting initiatives in the UK and taken part in global plantation programs, encouraging attempts to lessen our carbon footprint. These projects help create a more sustainable future in addition to improving local settings.

Additionally, Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami regularly participates in global humanitarian initiatives. In addition to helping to build homes and provide ration packs to flood victims in Pakistan, he was instrumental in giving earthquake aid in Turkey, Syria, and Morocco. He worked to improve health and education facilities in South Africa, Tanzania, Malawi, and the Gambia, and he gave humanitarian relief in Palestine.

He also worked on social welfare projects in Suriname and made contributions to welfare programs in Egypt and Libya. Syed thanked everyone in his acceptance speech, saying, “I am incredibly honored to receive the ‘UK Volunteer of the Year 2024’ award. This honor is a testament to my work as well as the commitment of Dawat-e-Islami and the Faizan Global Relief Foundation.

As the UK Volunteer of the Year for 2024, Syed Muhammad Faisal Sami was commended by Charity Today’s founder and editor, Lee B. Rayment, who highlighted his significant contributions to communities around the world. Sami’s accomplishment highlights the value of volunteers in promoting empathy and social responsibility. The “Charity Today Awards” honor people who are committed to volunteer work and community service.
