Islamabad, Dec 31: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has seen significant interest in Sector C-14, particularly from overseas Pakistanis, with around 500 applications received for 238 one-kanal plots. The plots, priced at Rs60 million each, are part of an initiative to meet the growing demand in the area located along Margalla Road.
Application and Balloting Process:
- Deadline and Applications: The deadline for applications was December 30, and the CDA received over 1,200 applications, including 500 from overseas Pakistanis.
- Prioritizing Overseas Pakistanis: CDA officials confirmed that overseas Pakistanis will be prioritized during the e-balloting process, and most plots are expected to go to them. Local applicants will be placed on a waiting list.
- Processing Fees: Applicants paid processing fees of Rs13,000 locally and $50 overseas, indicating their serious intent.
Upcoming Developments:
- Balloting and Final List: Following a review meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, a preliminary list will be published by January 3, with a two-day window for objections before finalizing the list.
- Sector Development: Development work in Sector C-14 is progressing swiftly, with the CDA aiming to hand over possession to buyers within a 10-month installment plan.
The CDA is also planning to auction residential plots in other sectors such as I-12 and C-15 in the near future.
