Islamabad, May 21, 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday has formally announced a 16-member Pakistan squad for Bangladesh series.
Middle-order batsman Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as captain for the series, while all-rounder Shadab Khan will serve as the vice-captain for the three-matches, all of which are scheduled to be held at the renowned Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The squad includes prominent names as Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali. The lineup also has Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Sahibzada Farhan, and Saim Ayub reflecting a well-balance mix of speed, strength, and emerging talent.

The confirmation of the series came after successful diplomatic engagements between the two cricket boards. On Tuesday, PCB Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi held discussions with Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chairman Nazmul Abedin, accompanied by BCB President Faruque Ahmed.

The top-tier meeting concluded with a decision that Bangladesh would tour Pakistan for a three-match T20I series. All matches are scheduled to take place in Lahore, further establishing the city’s role as a key venue for international cricket in the country.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi gave his gratitude to the BCB for their collaboration and sportsmanship, noting that the series would contribute to strengthening bilateral cricketing ties between the two nations.
