Islamabad, 15 Apr, 2025: In a groundbreaking stride toward promoting gender inclusivity, the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has officially named Lt Gen (Retd) Nigar Johar as its Brand Ambassador for its Women Empowerment Campaign.

This bold initiative was unveiled during a prestigious ceremony titled SHE Leads A Tribute to Women,” hosted at RCCI’s headquarters, honoring the strength and influence of women throughout Pakistan.

As the first-ever female three-star general in Pakistan’s military history, Lt Gen (Retd) Nigar Johar stands as an iconic figure symbolizing resilience, leadership, and transformation.

Her appointment not only celebrates her trailblazing career but also reinforces the RCCI’s dedication to uplifting and recognizing the contributions of women across all sectors.

During the event, RCCI President Usman Shahkat applauded her trailblazing legacy, noting that she had shattered glass ceilings and inspired generations.

“Her journey is one of sheer perseverance and excellence. She embodies the essence of strength and determination,” Shahkat remarked.

Adding to the praise, RCCI Group Leader Sohail Altaf reaffirmed the organization’s mission to build a more inclusive business environment.

“Through platforms like these, we’re not only recognizing trailblazers but also advancing the cause of equal opportunity. The Women Empowerment Campaign is a cornerstone of our vision for national progress,” he stated.

In her keynote address, Lt Gen (Retd) Nigar Johar lauded the Chamber for initiating impactful platforms for women leaders.

She stressed the importance of ensuring equal representation, saying, “Women must be given the space and support to lead, innovate, and shape our collective future.”

She also expressed full support for RCCI’s upcoming solidarity walk for Palestine, appreciating the chamber’s commitment to global humanitarian values.
