Kasur, Narowal, and Sialkot are facing an emergency flood situation, prompting the government to summon the Pakistan Army for relief operations. The Deputy Commissioners and District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) of the affected districts have formally requested the immediate deployment of Army troops to assist local administrations in rescue and relief efforts.
According to official sources, the Deputy Secretary (CAF), Ministry of Interior, has confirmed that the Army’s support is critical to avoid any untoward incident and to ensure the safe evacuation of residents trapped in flood-hit areas. Army Aviation and other assets may also be deployed where necessary to speed up rescue operations.

The authorities emphasized that the exact number of troops required will be coordinated between Army officials and local district administrations. The move aims to strengthen ongoing relief measures and provide urgent assistance to people impacted by the rising floodwaters.
