The Minister for commerce Jam Kamal Khan met the Adviser of Bangladesh industries Adilur Rahman Khan in Dhaka, and held meaningful discussions with Khan, in which the key discussion points were Cooperation in ship building and building of avenues of industrial cooperation between the two countries.
Both of them emphasized the fact that they should take advantage of their manufacturing capabilities and advance their relationship in supply of food security, cooperation in the technology level, and adding value to food products. They concurred that it was crucial to have purposes of sharing of a delegation and know-how in different industries to strengthen bilateral knowledge and development.
The minister was keen to participate in the developing industries in Bangladesh, in terms of joint ventures, bond and long-term relations. He noted the necessity to develop constructive economic infrastructure that will promote industrial growth and turn the current growth in trade into a long-term collaborative venture.
He also identified value-added industries as places of revenue generation and social economic growth, and praised Bangladesh in its outstanding performance in pharmaceuticals, IT and textiles.

Bangladesh and its adviser pointed at the rising industrial demands in the country and pointed at the prospects of the leathering, sugar, agro-processing, small and medium industries and some special areas of concern, Ship Building. He embraced interest of Pakistan in knowledge exchange as well as industrial synergies.
The discussion ended with both leaders restating their determination to forge closer ties in bilateral trade and industrial development rooted in Collaboration in Ship-Building and other areas where there is a convergence of interest.
