Islamabad, 16 June 2025: A convoy carrying Pakistani students stranded in Iran has reportedly departed from Tehran and is en route to the Taftan border crossing, according to diplomatic sources.

As per available information, a total of six buses have been arranged to facilitate the transportation of these students towards the Pakistan-Iran border.

Entry into Pakistan is expected to be granted after 4:00 PM today, once the necessary corridor arrangements at Taftan are in place.

Pakistani diplomatic officials in Tehran have emphasized that every effort is being made to ensure the safe and smooth return of all citizens.

“We are working tirelessly to extend all possible assistance and logistical support to our nationals,” the Pakistani Ambassador in Iran stated.

The coordinated movement comes amid growing calls from families for timely repatriation, as many students had been waiting for days due to administrative delays and cross-border clearance procedures.
