The Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation recently celebrated International Olympic Day at the Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA) in Balochistan.
The event featured exhibition races like K1, 200M (Men) and K2, 200M (Men), showcasing national and international canoeing athletes’ skills. Muhammad Abubakar Durrani, a notable figure in Pakistani canoeing, and other distinguished athletes participated.
The event also included a tree plantation drive, emphasizing environmental conservation alongside sports activities. Hayatullah Khan Durrani, founder of HDWSA, highlighted the academy’s 39-year history of promoting sports and environmental protection.
The festivities concluded with the hoisting of the Pakistan National Flag and the playing of the National Anthem, followed by a tea break for all participants and guests.
