Islamabad, 16 May 2025: The government has officially ratified a key revision to the Civil Servants Act, inserting Clause 15A immediately after Section 15.

Under this legislative update, all public officials serving in Grade 17 and above must now declare their complete portfolio of assets held both within the country and abroad.

This initiative is aimed at tightening financial accountability and reinforcing ethical governance across the civil administration.

In addition to their own declarations, officers are now legally bound to submit full financial disclosures pertaining to their spouses and dependent children, including both assets and any outstanding liabilities such as loans.

What sets this bill apart is the provision that all asset records will be made publicly accessible, promoting a new era of transparency and public trust in government operations.
