Islamabad, June 11, 2025: Pakistan continued its search for a first win in the third round of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers as they endured a 0-1 defeat to Myanmar in Group E match held at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon on Tuesday.
The only goal of the game came late in the opening half when forward Than Paing tapped in from close range, securing three points for the hosts.
The result leaves Myanmar at the top of its group with six points from two games, while Pakistan sits at the bottom with no points from as many fixtures.

This match was originally scheduled to be Pakistan’s first home game in over a year. However, it was eventually shifted to Myanmar. Pakistan last played at home on June 6, 2024, when they were beaten 3-0 by Saudi Arabia.
