Islamabad, Aug 13, 2025: New ODI ranks have been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan has lost its position and is sitting at position five with 3,465 points. Sri Lanka made the fourth place storm and filled the fourth position of 4,0009 points against the Men in Green who were thrashed. With 4,471 points, India occupy the top and New Zealand (4,160) and Australia (3,473) follow in that order.
The victory in the rain-curtailed second one day international between Pakistan and West Indies in Tarouba, saw West Indian scale to the ninth position bumping off Bangladesh to the tenth position. It was a short match (35 overs a side) and Pakistan had to score 181 to keep pace with that smaller score. Hasan Ali early breakthrough has found Brandon King and Evin Lewis.
Other than West Indian Sherfane Rutherford, who went Bonkers and hit 45 in 33 off 43 balls, and Roston Chase, who remained not out 49, the early wickets fell away. The two stitched a vital 77-run partnership to secure.

Babar Azam was out on a duck and Hasan Nawaz was included towards the end providing a boost of 36 not out in his knock. Mohammad Rizwan and Abdullah Shafique struggled to stabilize the innings.
Pakistan will be seeking to turn around on Thursday when the final of the series will be played on. In the updated ODIs ranking, Sri Lankan rise and the revival of West Indies was recorded. The final standoff is something that the cricket fans are feeling optimistic to bring something on the table as far as Pakistan is concerned in the context of bouncing back on the world game.
