The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has officially announced that the national men’s hockey team will not be competing in the Hockey Asia Cup 2025, which is set to take place in Rajgir, Bihar, from August 27 to September 7. This decision comes as a major disappointment for fans who were eager to see Pakistan back in action at one of Asia’s biggest hockey tournaments.

According to sources within the Pakistan Hockey Federation, internal challenges and logistical concerns played a key role in the withdrawal. The absence of Pakistan, a historically strong contender, is expected to impact the overall competitiveness of the Asia Cup.

Hockey followers in Pakistan and abroad had high hopes for the team’s participation, considering the tournament’s significance in building momentum ahead of future international events.
