Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has announced on private TV media that Pakistan and India has agreed on cease fire enforceable from 04:30PM Saturday evening.
Before that President Donald Trump has issued a tweet saying that after a lot of efforts, Pakistan and India had agreed to enforce a ceasefire between the two nuclear armed nation.

Taking to Truth Social, Trump stated, “After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence.”
The announcement follows a tense series of military exchanges between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, including missile strikes, drone attacks, and cyber operations.

Echoing the sentiment, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the agreement, saying, “Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect.”
He emphasized Islamabad’s commitment to peace, noting, “Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
The ceasefire comes as a potential turning point after a period of escalating rhetoric and military action, which saw both countries suffer damage to infrastructure and personnel.

International observers had warned that continued conflict risked destabilizing the broader South Asian region.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has also given details of talks which he was following with Pakistan and India. He talked to both sides, with Prime Minister of Pakistan, Army Chief of Pakistan and on India side too.
