Islamabad, 10 May,2025: US President Donald Trump stated that prolonged negotiations,overseen by the United States, had resulted in an immediate ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.
In a message posted on his official X account, he said that following a night of intense discussions, both countries had committed to halting hostilities without delay.
“After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE. Congratulations to both Countries on using Common Sense and Great Intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
He expressed satisfaction with the development, attributing the resolution to what he described as sensible decision-making and intellectual maturity on both sides.
Trump, identifying himself as both the 45th and 47th President of the United States, also extended congratulations to New Delhi and Islamabad, saying their use of “common sense” and “great intelligence” had brought about a peaceful outcome.
