Islamabad, Aug 12,2025: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has established a direct airline connection between Riyadh and Sialkot to cater to the large amount of people who use the Riyadh and Sialkot air routes every year. This follows a new facilitation given to the GCC nationals and residents by Saudi Arabia in the capacity that they can now undertake Umrah all times of the year using all entrance points; land, air and sea.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has declared that Umrah visa can be easily procured now through the official Nusuk application, extremely rapidly. The program, which is an extended effort of the Kingdom to simplify pilgrimage to Mecca, is not only available to citizens of GCC, but also expatriates residing in the GCC countries. Pilgrims who are eligible are able to travel through various categories of visas including:
Umrah visa through nusuk.sa
Transit visa on Saudia Airlines and Flynas
Tourist visa to ksavisa.sa
Every visitor, irrespective of the type of a visa, will have to acquire permission to perform the Umrah and access the Rawdah Al Sharifah through the Nusuk platform. Still the official Umrah season chronology is as follows:
1 Shawwal: deadline of issuing visas
15 Shawwal: Final date of entry
1 Dhul Qi’dah, Last departure date

Moreover, the Saudi officials have stopped registering new applications of external Saudi Umrah agents, the new contracts are to be concluded every 1 Shaaban. The fact that PIA is also operating Riyadh to Sialkot flights would mean that the passengers have an easier alternative to religious and personal trips.
