Islamabad, Dec 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held a bilateral meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi on Tuesday, where both countries expressed a mutual commitment to deepening cooperation across all sectors. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Council of Ministers session of the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both leaders exchanged views on areas of mutual interest, including the latest regional and global developments. The bilateral talks underscored the importance of collaboration in advancing the shared goals of the two countries.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who arrived in Islamabad on Monday for the ECO meeting, reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to the ECO Charter. He emphasized the need for enhanced connectivity within the ECO region. This includes the development of road and rail networks, liberalizing visa regimes, simplifying border procedures, and promoting sustainable growth to fully realize the geo-economic potential of the region.
