Islamabad, Feb 26 2025: The Pakistan team is most likely to visit Bangladesh for a white-ball series in July-August this year, with both cricket boards yet to make a final decision.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are optimistic about the proposed series, which would feature three ODIs and three T20Is.
Sources suggest that PCB Chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, and BCB President, Faruque Ahmed, discussed the series during a meeting coinciding with the Champions Trophy.
This comes as Bangladesh is already scheduled to tour Pakistan in late May for a series of three ODIs and three T20Is, as part of the ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP).
BCB Cricket Operations Head, Shahriar Nafees, confirmed that discussions are ongoing, expressing positivity from both boards about the proposed white-ball series.
Both sides will also face each other in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 on February 28 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
It is pertinent to mention here that following the Champions Trophy, Bangladesh will embark on a two-Test series against Zimbabwe in mid-April.
In June-July this year, Bangladesh is set to host Sri Lanka for two-match red ball, three-match ODIs, and three-match T20Is.
August-September will see India visiting for a similar format series, and in September, Bangladesh will compete in the Asia Cup in India.
