Islamabad, 27 May 2025: The Government of Pakistan has officially declared 28th May 2025 a public holiday across the country to observe Youm-e-Takbeer, commemorating Pakistan’s entry into the nuclear club.
The announcement came through a formal notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat, stating that the Prime Minister had approved the holiday in light of the national importance of the day.
Nationwide Observance Directed for Media and Institutions
The Cabinet Secretary directed that the declaration be widely circulated through both English and Urdu media channels, including digital platforms, to ensure public awareness.
LAHORE SCHOOLS TO REMAIN OPEN
Meanwhile, the Government of Punjab has announced that schools will remain open across the province on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer.
The decision has been taken to accommodate different events, which will be organized in schools on this occasion, Punjab Education Minister Spokesperson said on Tuesday.
However, summer vacations in schools have begun in Punjab since May 19, which means that the academic activities will resume after the vacations.
