Islamabad, July 23, 2025: Pakistan passport is once again ranked among the weakest in the world. In the 2025 Henley Passport Index, it stands fourth from the bottom — only stronger than passports from Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.
The index, released on Tuesday checks how many countries a passport holder can enter without needing a visa first. It uses travel data from IATA and looks at 227 countries.
Singapore passport ranking remains at the top, offering visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 193 destinations out of 227 globally. Japan and South Korea are next with 190, while Germany, France, and Spain follow with 189 visa-free destinations.
The UAE made big progress, now ranking 8th with access to 184 places. Over the past 10 years, it moved up 34 spots — more than any other country.

Meanwhile, the UK dropped to 6th with 186 destinations. The US also fell and now stands at 10th.
India climbed eight places and is now at 77th. Saudi Arabia improved too, reaching 54th after getting visa-free entry to four more countries.
