Islamabad, 14 May, 2025: This year, Pakistani pilgrims heading to Hajj are set to experience a level of comfort never offered before.
For the first time, they’ll stay in fully air-conditioned camps in Mina, a major shift from the traditional setups with floor mattresses and basic cooling fans.
The upgraded facilities include sofa-cum-beds, solid gypsum walls for added privacy, and raised platforms for keeping luggage organized and off the ground.
According to Director Hajj in Makkah, Azizullah Khan, these changes mark a new chapter in the way Pakistani pilgrims are hosted.

While speaking to Radio Pakistan on Tuesday, he shared that efforts have been made across the board to improve the Hajj experience.
“Dedicated teams are working day and night to manage food, health, and transport so that pilgrims face no inconvenience,” he said.
Khan also mentioned that nearly all Pakistani pilgrims, 99 percent have received their Nusuk cards, which serve as their official identification and Hajj permit under the Saudi system.

In addition to better camps, pilgrims will stay in high-quality hotels and residential buildings in the Azizia and Batha Quraish areas of Makkah, both located near key religious sites.
Each pilgrim will also receive a specially prepared Hajj kit, which includes a bag marked with the Pakistani flag, a QR code for identification, and key travel and contact information.
To make the pilgrimage more organized, a mobile app has been introduced that gives access to group data, flight and accommodation details, training schedules, and real-time location maps helping pilgrims stay informed throughout their journey.
