ISLAMABAD JULY27: By September 2024, Pakistan Railways intends to provide first-rate eating facilities aboard the Allama Iqbal Express passenger train, offering passengers a selection of freshly prepared meals.
According to a Ministry of Railways official, “passengers will enjoy an enhanced environment with enhanced dining facilities, as the upgraded dining car can accommodate around 40 passengers at a time.
Premium lounge dining carriages have been installed by Pakistan Railways on the Bahauddin Zakariya, Tezgam Express, and Khyber Mail trains with great success. The Khyber Mail train, which runs between Karachi and Lahore, now has a dining room with space for up to 34 people to sit and a dedicated prayer area.
