Islamabad, May 25, 2025: In a bold shift from tradition, Pakistan is no longer playing catch-up in the crypto world—it’s setting the pace. According to Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), the country is rapidly gaining traction on the global stage as a hub for cryptocurrency innovation and digital finance leadership

Speaking to a private news outlet, Bilal Bin Saqib emphasized that Pakistan is now viewed as a promising player by international investors and tech giants alike. “For the first time, we are not standing behind the world,” he stated. “We are defining our own direction in the digital currency space.”

This newfound momentum stems largely from the nation’s tech-savvy youth, who are embracing cryptocurrencies and blockchain with remarkable enthusiasm. “Pakistan has the potential to lead the region in digital finance,” Saqib noted, adding that the country could soon be an exporter of digital innovation to other emerging markets.

One of the critical developments reinforcing this progress is the establishment of the Pakistan Digital Assets Authority, aimed at building a robust regulatory ecosystem. Saqib described it as a strategic move toward “smart regulation” that encourages the growth of crypto ventures at a global scale—right from within Pakistan.

He further highlighted the role of freelancers and tech entrepreneurs in fueling this evolution. “We are outpacing our neighbors in this digital race,” Saqib claimed, stressing that Pakistan’s rise in the global crypto economy is not only real but increasingly recognized.

Industry analysts have echoed Saqib’s optimism. Compared to countries like India and Bangladesh, where regulatory uncertainty clouds crypto adoption, Pakistan’s proactive stance offers a compelling alternative for global investors eyeing the South Asian market.
