Islamabad, Aug 26: The Pakistan Shaheens’ team for the forthcoming 50-over series against Bangladesh ‘A’ has been revealed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The first game of the series, which will take place in Islamabad, will take place at the Islamabad Club on August 26. August 28 and August 30 are the dates of the second and third ODIs, respectively.
The Shaheens’ captain going forward will be Muhammad Haris, who most recently guided the team to the Top End T20 Series semifinals in Darwin, Australia.
The selectors have faith in Haris because of his leadership and wicketkeeping prowess, even after the team lost to Adelaide Strikers in the semi-finals. The PCB kept 12 players from the most recent Darwin tour in the squad, which is consistent with the board’s strategy of giving young players regular chances to demonstrate their abilities and compete for a spot in the senior national team.
Players that have been crucial to the team’s recent results, such as Abdul Faseeh, Arafat Minhas, and Faisal Akram, are among the notable additions.
Azan Awais, a promising left-hand hitter from the Pakistan U19 team, and Mehran Mumtaz, a left-arm spinner who made an impression during a four-day encounter against Bangladesh “A,” are the two new members to the side.
These young cricket players will have a significant opportunity to excel and leave their imprint on Pakistan’s cricketing history during the forthcoming series.
