Islamabad, Oct 14: Pakistan Shaheens Make Two Key Squad Changes Ahead of Upcoming Match. For the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup, Pakistani cricket players Rohail Nazir and Muaz Sadaqat have been called up to the Pakistan Shaheens team.
The Shaheens team needed reinforcements after wicketkeeper-batter Haseebullah Khan and Mehran Mumtaz, a potential left-arm spinner, were promoted to the Test team along with Kamran Ghulam and Noman Ali. The ideal players to step forward seemed to be Muaz Sadaqat, a young all-rounder, and Rohail Nazir, a gifted wicketkeeper-batter with leadership experience.
Nazir adds depth and experience to the team, having previously captained Pakistan at the Under-19 level. He is seen as a future asset for Pakistani cricket and has already shown promise in domestic cricket. Sadaqat, a budding star renowned for his reliable batting and sporadic contributions with the ball, has also played for Pakistan at the Under-19 level.
With their participation, the Pakistan Shaheens team will be restocked as they look to win the Asia Cup. By encouraging new players to take on international challenges, the PCB expects that these call-ups would deepen Pakistan’s cricketing ranks. On the 19th of October, the Shaheens will play their first game of the competition in Oman against rivals India A.
