Pakistan revealed the 17 member squad to take part in Asia Cup 2025 in the UAE which will be hosted next month. Salman Ali Agha has been made the captain of the UAE tri-nation series as well as the continental big tournament.
One of the regular contributors, Fakhar Zaman, who has overcome his hamstring injury will also play an important role as will Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, and Faheem Ashraf. Emerging talent Saim Ayub, Hasan Nawaz and Mohammad Haris also get the selections, bringing new blood to the team.
It can be noted that the experienced players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were not included in the Asia Cup squad. He added that Babar might just come back in next year ICC T20 World Cup that is visited by head coach Mike Hesson. The pair last featured in a shortest format against South Africa, in December of 2024.

Pakistan will play a tri-series with Afghanistan and hosts UAE between August 29 and September 7 before the Asia Cup. Then they will start their campaign in Asia cup on 12 th September with their successful initial bout against Oman and then in their new Asian clashes with India and U.A.E.
Pakistan have already participated in the Asia Cup 15 times winning it two times Moin Khan, 2000 and Misbah-ul-Haq, 2012. People are going to be eager to experience the effort given by the Pakistan team at Asia Cup 2025 to win their third title in the UAE.
