Islamabad, Mar 14 2025: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its upward momentum on Friday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 441.93 points.
Reflecting a 0.38 percent increase. The index closed at 115,536.17 points, up from the previous session’s 115,094.24 points, sustaining its bullish trajectory.
Market analysts at Topline Securities attributed the positive sentiment to investor confidence in Pakistan’s ability to successfully clear its first review under the $7 billion IMF Extended Fund Facility (EFF), which has been a key factor driving stock market activity.

Trading volume for the session stood at 360.45 million shares, slightly lower than the 382.79 million shares exchanged on the prior trading day. The total value of traded stocks reached Rs. 21.04 billion, compared to Rs. 25.41 billion recorded a day earlier.
A total of 435 companies participated in the session, with 195 closing in positive territory, 169 witnessing declines, and 71 remaining unchanged.

Bank of Punjab followed, with 36.14 million shares changing hands at Rs. 13.09 per share, while Fauji Foods Limited recorded 25.61 million shares traded at Rs. 16.06 per share.
In terms of individual stock performance, Unilever Pakistan Foods Limited emerged as the top gainer, seeing a surge of Rs. 195.80 per share to close at Rs. 23,413.00. Mari Energies Limited followed, adding Rs. 28.04 to its share price, closing at Rs. 605.66.
On the losing side, Rafhan Maize Products Company Foods Limited registered the steepest decline, shedding Rs. 80.16 per share to close at Rs. 9,099.84. PIA Holding Company Limited also experienced a notable drop, with its share price falling by Rs. 71.55 to settle at Rs. 856.92.
The overall market sentiment remains optimistic, with investors closely monitoring economic developments and policy updates that could further influence trading activity in the coming sessions.
