Islamabad, Sep 8: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on September 17, Tuesday, on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.
In a brief notification sent to all investors on Friday, the stock exchange said, “All TRE Certificate Holders, staff, and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi ( ) 12th – Rabi ul Awal.”
The Cabinet Division publishes a list of all public holidays for the entire year, which is important to note here. Eid Milad-un-Nabi was scheduled for September 16 on this list.
The Ruet-e-Hilal committee’s confirmation has led to the federal government announcing September 17 as a national holiday. All government, semi-government, private, and educational institutions will be closed.
