Islamabad, July 9, 2025: Pakistan has officially announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled from July 20 to 24 at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka. Salman Ali Agha will continue to captain the team.

This squad combines experienced players like Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Nawaz with young talent such as Saim Ayub and Hassan Nawaz, aiming to strengthen Pakistan’s T20 performance.

India’s Tour of Bangladesh Postponed to 2026

In a parallel development, India’s six-match white-ball tour of Bangladesh, originally set for August 17, 2025, has been postponed to 2026. The BCCI and BCB cited “international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience” as reasons.

The series included three ODIs and three T20Is, all to be held in Dhaka. Tensions between India and Bangladesh have grown since the political turmoil that ousted Sheikh Hasina in 2024. The postponed tour is now expected to be rescheduled for September 2026, with new dates to be announced.
