Islamabad, May 11, 2025: In an exciting development for Pakistan’s agricultural sector, the government has confirmed that mango exports will begin on May 25.

The Ministry of Commerce issued an official circular outlining the details for the 2025 mango export season, reaffirming that the established conditions under the Export Policy Order will continue to apply.

This decision follows extensive consultations with a stakeholder committee, ensuring alignment with industry needs.

Pakistan, known for its premium mango varieties, exports around 130,000 metric tons of mangoes annually.

Last year, these exports contributed over $90 million to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.

Notably, Pakistani mangoes are a favorite in global markets, including the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Iran, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

This move highlights Pakistan’s continued dominance in the international mango trade and the importance of maintaining strong export policies to foster growth.

With this season’s launch, the country is poised to continue strengthening its position as a major global player in mango exports.
