Islamabad, Aug 22: Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq declared that Pakistan is dedicated to enhancing parliamentary engagement as a means of further fortifying bilateral ties with Belarus.
During an encounter in Minsk with Igor Sergeyenko, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Ayaz Sadiq declared, “This visit represents a significant advancement in our partnership.” We are excited to build on the foundations established throughout the last 30 years of diplomatic ties and really appreciate your welcome.
According to a news release issued today, the speaker stressed the significance of strengthening parliamentary connections between Belarus and Pakistan, with a particular emphasis on broadening the legal basis for collaboration.
“We pledge to review and update current agreements to make sure they are more efficient. In order to promote deeper contact, our Parliament will actively work on these foundations, according to Ayaz Sadiq.
Regarding bilateral collaboration, the speaker restated Pakistan’s backing for Belarus on global fora, encompassing its application to become a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
In addition, he reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to help Belarus join the several organizations of which Pakistan is a member. He emphasized, saying, “We think that our partnership can be mutually beneficial and we are ready to offer our support wherever possible.”
The Speaker of the Belarusian House of Representatives, Mr. Igor Sergeyenko, conveyed his appreciation for Pakistan’s unwavering support in international fora.
Noting that it was an important step toward deepening bilateral relations, he welcomed the visit of the Pakistani parliamentary team, which included Members of the National Assembly M. Aslam Ghumman, Syed Tariq Hussain, and Syed Hafeezuddin.
