Islamabad, Sep 24: The inaugural meeting of the Steering Committee on Electric Vehicles was presided over by Minister of Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain on Tuesday. The group resolved to complete the National Electric Vehicle policy in less than a month.
The goal of the strategy is to guarantee a sustainable transportation system in the nation by encouraging domestic manufacture and the early adoption of EVs, especially new energy vehicles (NEVs).
Senior officials from pertinent ministries and departments were present at the meeting, along with Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and Secretary of Industries and Production Saif Anjum.
The minister, who presided over the conference, emphasized that the new strategy should support energy efficiency and the car industry’s shift to sustainable technologies.Presenting their recommendations, each stakeholder did so throughout the meeting.
