Pakistan to Host ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers – Schedule Announced

Islamabad, March 14, 2025:  The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Pakistan will host the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 qualifiers from April 9 to 19.

Lahore will serve as the central venue, with all 15 matches scheduled to take place at Gaddafi Stadium and Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) Stadium.

The qualifier will feature six teams competing for two remaining spots in the Women’s Cricket World Cup, which is set to be held in India in October and November.

The teams include four ICC full members—Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Ireland—plus Scotland and Thailand, who qualified via ICC Women’s ODI Rankings (Oct 28, 2024).

The top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship (2023-25) have qualified, while the qualifier will determine the final two spots.

ICC CEO Geoff Allardice has expressed his anticipation for a competitive tournament, emphasizing that all six teams are just one step away from securing a place in the Women’s Cricket World Cup.

He extended his best wishes to the participating nations and expected an exciting build-up to the global tournament.

The opening day of the qualifier will feature a double-header, with Pakistan facing Ireland at Gaddafi Stadium and West Indies taking on Scotland at LCCA.

Other notable fixtures include Pakistan’s clash with West Indies on April 14, Ireland facing Scotland on April 18, and Pakistan’s crucial match against Bangladesh on April 19.
